During the past four years, I have had a number of medical problems resulting in numerous trips to the emergency room and then hospitalization. After my third hospitalization, I needed to find a place for rehabilitation. My friends, who are neighbors, had visited Croasdaile Pavilion and said it was very nice. After six rehabilitations at Croasdaile Pavilion, I needed long-term care and Croasdaile Pavilion was able to take me as a patient.
During my stays at home, people (health care, nurses, PT, OT, and deliveries) were coming to my house often. I had to transfer to and from my car going and coming from my doctors appointments. It was hard for me to cope with all the coming and going.
At Croasdaile Pavilion, I am cared for on site. I can go to doctors appointments in my wheelchair on a bus. Most of my doctors come to my room. I can have meals with my friends in the dining room or my by myself in my room. The best part of living at Croasdaile Pavilion is freedom.
