Certification
What is the deadline for (re)certification applications?
The ABPLM Board of Directors reviews certification applications twice each year. Deadlines are October 1 and April 1.
What's a CMD?
CMD stands for Certified Medical Director, a credential given to post-acute and long-term care medical directors by the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (ABPLM) based on experience, education, and competency. Learn more.

Where can I find information about the Society's Annual Conference?
What types of credits does Society education provide?
Most of the Society's educational programs provide CME, CMD, and ABIM MOC credits. The Society's Annual Conference provides CME, CMD, ABIM MOC, nursing, and administrator credits. If you are interested in attending a Society educational program and don't see the credits you're interested in provided, contact your credentialing agency for information on receiving credit for attending that Society educational program.

What is the Society's membership cycle?
The Society’s membership term is based on the calendar year. Dues will be collected in the fall of each year for the following calendar year (January 1 – December 31).

Yes, the Society's electronic CPGs are viewable on mobile products.
How can I get permission to reprint or use information from a Society product?
Fill out the Permission to Reprint Form. A Society staff member will review your request and contact you regarding your permission status.
