Traditionally post-acute rehabilitation (PAR) is utilized for the primary purpose of regaining strength and stamina, while medical services in PAR play a supporting role. However, diagnoses can be overlooked in the acute hospital stay, particularly complex neurological diagnoses. The PAR setting can prove valuable in making such diagnoses due to longer periods of functional observation and availability of relevant specialists. This Case series demonstrates 4 patients discharged from hospitals to a single PAR facility with a diagnosis of generalized weakness.
