Telehealth Adoption and Barriers Across Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Settings: Insights From a Clinician Survey

Although telehealth has many post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) applications, including for specialty visits, remote monitoring, and follow-up care in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), long-term care (LTC) facilities, and assisted living (AL) facilities, there are unique challenges to its adoption.1-3 Barriers include staffing constraints, technological infrastructure, and acceptability of telehealth among older adults.1-3
