Society a Key Partner in Upcoming LTPAC HIT Summit
The Society is once again a strategic partner for the upcoming 13th Annual Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) Health IT Summit being held in Baltimore, MD, June 26-27. The Summit focuses on key health information technology (HIT) issues facing clinicians and PALTC providers. This year’s Summit comes at a pivotal time when a spotlight is on PALTC providers to be key partners in value-based medicine. Many health systems are looking to build post-acute networks that are fully integrated and interoperable, but few understand how to go about doing so. Several Society members will be participating on panels that will focus on these and other critical areas such as unique challenges and potential solutions for clinicians reporting under MACRA’s Quality Payment Program. Likewise, the Summit presenters will address how the use of IT has helped them develop better care coordination and chronic care models that are fundamental to emerging CPT coding opportunities and gain sharing partnerships with the acute sector. Finally, they will highlight challenges and address necessary advocacy steps paramount to future success of PALTC medicine.
The Summit is uniquely designed to address both the in depth understanding of HIT and provide clinicians with the tools necessary to more easily manage their practice and improve care for their patients. Attendees will also get a chance to speak directly with policy experts and leaders in federal, state, and local levels, about initiatives that are challenging and propelling PALTC into the future of health care.
