Serious Mental Illness in Assisted Living Communities: Association with Nursing Home Placement

Assess prevalence of serious mental illness (SMI) alone, and co-occurring with Alzheimer disease and related dementias (ADRD), among Medicare beneficiaries in assisted living (AL). Examine the association between permanent nursing home (NH) placement and SMI, among residents with and without ADRD.
