To improve internal medicine residents’ knowledge and management in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (PALTC) settings. Although many providers care for patients transitioning to or from PALTC, there is no published standardized curriculum for this highly regulated and specialized care environment. Previously reported educational efforts focus on medical director training, on-call management, geriatric competencies, and structured skilled nursing facility (SNF) rotations. This project aimed to develop and implement a structured PALTC curriculum using PALTmed resources, self-paced learning, and case discussions to provide standardized PALTC teaching.
