The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) plans to release a Targeted PCORI Funding Announcement (tPFA) on April 13, 2021, soliciting high-quality, comparative effectiveness research projects focused on the following question: What interventions are effective in increasing COVID-19 vaccine confidence and uptake among long-term care (LTC) workers?

Additional details on PCORI’s specific interests related to interventions, populations of interest, and outcomes are provided here to allow potential applicants additional time to identify collaborators; obtain stakeholder input on potential studies; and develop responsive, high-quality proposals.

This funding opportunity is aimed at the issue of increasing COVID-19 vaccine confidence and uptake among long-term care staff, with the primary outcomes of the interventions to include vaccine uptake and/or vaccine series completion.
