Keeping frontline post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) staff such as nurses, certified nursing assistants, kitchen staff, and environmental services personnel up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines is important to decrease the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection within and between facilities,1 thereby protecting residents,2 staff, and their families. However, data from a large quality improvement project showed that new cost and access barriers have exacerbated already challenging efforts to immunize PALTC staff.
