Multidisciplinary Management of Prosthetic Joint Infection in a Geriatric Patient

Prosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a serious complication following total hip arthroplasty (THA), particularly in geriatric patients with significant comorbidities and functional impairments. We present a case of a prosthetic joint infection recovered through multidisciplinary care at a skilled nursing facility. This collaboration helped prevent hospital readmission and supported discharge home with home health and family caregiver support.
