The Live Oak Project Endorsement of the Position Statement from the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine

Our partnership, The Live Oak Partnership, is committed to transforming all aspects of long-term care from public policy implementation to the quality of care and life of each resident and short-term patient. Founded in May 2020, we were motivated by the heavy toll the pandemic was taking on nursing home residents and staff. The 3 partners spent our respective careers, encompassing many decades, attempting to substantially reform nursing home care and life for staff and residents. The devastation of COVID-19 has revealed that there is still a long way to go.
