JAMDA 2023 Morley Award Recognizes Research That Supports Careful Hand-Feeding Practices

Astudy in Hong Kong that documented a significantly lower risk of aspiration pneumonia in patients with advanced dementia and feeding problems who were placed on careful hand-feeding rather than nasogastric tube feeding has won the JAMDA 2023 Morley Award for both the interest it has generated and its clinical relevance and importance (J Am Med Dir Assoc 2022;23:1541–1547.e2).
