We read with great interest the recent study by Chekani et al evaluating the prevalence and diagnostic risk of behavioral symptoms in patients with Alzheimer disease (AD) aged 50 years and older in the IBM MarketScan Multi-State Medicaid Database.1 By highlighting the potential role of insomnia as a warning sign of worsening symptoms in patients with AD, the authors have provided invaluable insight for health care providers.
