The Healing Power of Creative Art: Looking Back at the 2020 Pandemic

In March, we observed the fifth anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic, commemorating when New York City became the epicenter of the outbreak in this country, resulting in an unprecedented wave of death from this new illness, especially among frail older adults who resided in NYC long-term care facilities. During those dark days in the early spring of 2020, uncertainty reigned supreme, and no one could yet see a light at the end of the tunnel; however, some of our health care workers at Coler Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center took solace in the creative arts.
