JAMDA
Grover's disease (GD) is a transient acantholytic dermatosis, manifesting as a papular skin eruption mainly on the chest, back, lumbar area, and extremities. It mostly affects Caucasians in the fifth decade or later and is more common in men. It is associated with numerous conditions, including chronic renal failure, HIV infection, mechanical irritation, prolonged bedrest, heat exposure, and excess sweating. We present the case of a post-acute care (PAC) patient with GD triggered by heat exposure and discuss a simple treatment modality that optimized his recovery.
