The Good, the Bad, and the Uncertainties About AI

At the start of “Ethical Considerations in Applying AI,” a session at PALTC24, the Annual Conference of AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, Timothy Holahan, DO, CMD, made an observation that sums up both the challenges and opportunities related to artificial intelligence (AI). He said, “We have a lot of questions about [AI] technology, but we really want to use it and use it now” — before all those questions have been answered.
