Enhancing Resident and Staff Relationships

From July 2022 through January 2023, we will create sustainable strategies to enhance communication and interaction in the Community Living Center. This will be accomplished by education in STAR-VA, employment of de-escalation techniques, and improved reporting systems. This will be measured by a decrease in disruptive behaviors, a decrease in documentation by behavior notes, and a decrease in the number of calls to the facility police.
