Diabetic Lumbosacral Plexopathy: A Rare but Serious Neurologic Complication

Diabetic lumbosacral plexopathy (DLP) is an uncommon complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It most commonly presents shortly after diabetes diagnosis, significant weight loss, or initiation of GLP-1 inhibitors. Due to the physical debility that often accompanies this pathology, it has relevance to medical providers in both the post-acute and long-term care settings.
