The objective of this study is to identify the baseline rate of prescribed antihistamines among long-term care (LTC) residents and to safely deprescribe these medications in residents without a clear indication for continuation. The target reduction rate is 50% within 4 weeks post-intervention. The goal of deprescribing is to decrease anticholinergic burden and adverse side effects. The secondary aim is to document barriers to implementing a successful deprescribing program in the LTC setting.
