Storytelling is powerful, and on April 7, over 1,000 certified nursing assistants (CNAs) brought their stories to Washington, DC, for a virtual march organized by the National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA). “Now is our time. We have demonstrated our value time and again, but the pandemic showed the world that CNAs make a real and powerful difference,” Lori Porter, NAHCA cofounder and CEO, told the group. “Many of you have given years — decades — to caring for our frail and disabled.
