AI and the Not So Lost Art of Medicine

Dear Dr. Diane: It feels like everywhere I go, every discussion I have is about how AI [artificial intelligence] is taking over medicine. Our EMR already has decision support tools, and I do wonder what is next as family members come into my facility telling me what ChatGPT or Google AI says instead of Healthline or WebMD. I know that I am skeptical, and I wonder what advice you have for clinicians who feel like we are being taken over by AI.
