Reducing Recurrent Hospitalizations in a Resident With Short Gut Syndrome

Residents with short gut syndrome (SGS) on long-term total parenteral nutrition (TPN) present a management challenge in the skilled nursing facility. We describe a patient with SGS managed successfully at our SNF leading to improvement in gut function and functional status.
