JAMDA Compiles a Special Issue on Hospital Care

A staggering 7.5 million older adults were hospitalized in 2017 (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2018, http://bit.ly/39Zycoc; Administration for Community Living, 2017, http://bit.ly/3a1zijp), including 1.5 million of the oldest old. Some were hospitalized more than once. Hospital care is an issue for post-acute and long-term care providers and the theme of the April 2020 issue of JAMDA.
