CMS Hosts SNF Value-Based Purchasing Open Door Forum

This week the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) hosted an Open Door Forum to provide details about the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Value-Based Purchasing Program (VBP). The program enacted under the Protecting Access to Medicare Act (PAMA) of 2014 requires SNFs to submit data on quality measures related to cost and quality including hospital readmissions. The program will have a financial impact for facilities starting in 2018.
