Yasuda et al1 reported the first multicenter evaluation of Japan’s 2024 Rehabilitation, Nutrition, and Oral Management Collaboration System, describing how dedicated therapists distribute their time within acute-care wards. That ward-based management occupied 19.4% of daily therapist time, alongside 34.9% for conventional rehabilitation and 25.2% for administrative work, gives other institutions a concrete reference point. I write from a small community hospital in Japan that operates an acute ward and its own home care service.
