Comments on: “Stage of Disease Among Hospitalized Persons Living With Dementia: A Multisite Study”

We read with great interest the recent multisite study by Lynch et al1 examining dementia stage among hospitalized individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. With its large sample size and systematic data collection approach, the study provides valuable insights into the distribution of dementia severity in acute care settings. The predominance of moderate-stage dementia is particularly noteworthy and has important implications for targeted clinical interventions.
