Response to the Commentary on “Hip Fracture Geriatric (HIP-G) Index: Predicting 12-Month Mortality in Older Adults With Hip Fracture”

We would like to sincerely thank the authors of the Letter to the Editor titled “Commentary on Hip Fracture Geriatric (HIP-G) Index: Predicting 12-Month Mortality in Older Adults With Hip Fracture” for their thoughtful and constructive comments on our recently published article.1 Their remarks reflect a shared commitment to improving prognostic evaluation and, ultimately, the care of older adults experiencing fragility fractures. In this response, we aim to address their main points and further clarify the rationale and intended clinical scope of the HIP-G Index.
