We commend Kara et al1 for their innovative study on developing a machine learning (ML)-based algorithm to screen and diagnose sarcopenia. Given sarcopenia's rising prevalence and health care burden, this study is timely with a large multicenter sample (5649 participants) and a focus on reducing diagnostic tests (eg, ultrasound, grip strength testing [HGS]).
