Critical Reflections on the LTC+ Program Evaluation

We read with great interest the recent article by Wong et al, titled “A Program to Reduce Emergency Department Transfers and Build Long-Term Care Home Capacity: A Mixed-Methods Study.”1 I would like to highlight several relevant aspects of the study, particularly regarding the methodological limitations of the LTC+ program in its capacity to reduce potentially avoidable transfers from long-term care homes to emergency departments.
