Taking Action on CMS Revised Long-Term Care Surveyor Guidance

There is a new set of revisions to the long-term care survey guidelines 2025, which surveyors will begin using on March 24, 2025.* The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released a 900-page document last year outlining the changes, which focus on everything from medication management and infection control to Minimum Data Set (MDS) coding accuracy and the medical director’s role (https://bit.ly/41fej9K).
