We read with great interest the article by Yang et al. published in this journal.1 The authors used latent class analysis to classify the frailty subgroups and evaluated their predictive validity for mortality in older adults. The results identified 3 frailty risk groups, each with varying mortality risks. These findings suggest that vulnerable populations may be prone to cognitive frailty. We believe that this finding has important implications for cognitive-frailty screening.
