Caring for the Ages

The John A. Hartford Foundation (JAHF) is dedicated to improving the care of older adults. It was established in 1929 by John A. Hartford and his brother George L. Hartford, owners of the nationwide A&P grocery stores. Since 1982, JAHF has invested over $724 million in grants to support experts on aging and innovative practices to transform the delivery of care for older adults, with a focus on improving their health and overall well-being (https://www.johnahartford.org/about).
