Advancements in medicine have increased life expectancy, leading to a growing older population and a rise in chronic diseases and polypharmacy.1 In this setting, potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) use has increased and pushed forward health care costs and iatrogenesis.2,3 Clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) have been developed to address these risks and can improve health care across diverse settings,4-7 including prevention of adverse drug reactions in hospitalized older patients.
