Reply to Hoben and Colleagues

We welcome the letter by Hoben and colleagues in response to our environmental scan that sought to identify the terms used to describe the assisted living sector in Canada, the cost estimates associated with residency, and quantify the growth of the sector using historical registers from a single province.1 We agree that defining and categorizing assisted living in Canada is complex, and we appreciate their corrections and extensions to our findings.
