J16 — CPR in the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care

Resolution J-16

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that AMDA-The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine create a White Paper to address policies around the provision of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in nursing homes and education of stakeholders as to the medical effectiveness of CPR in the frail elder population in the event of full cardiac and respiratory arrest;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that AMDA work with other professional organizations to further promulgate information to healthcare professionals and consumers to promote informed decision-making about CPR by patients and their families.
