Meet the Hosts:

AMDA On-The-Go	Diane Sanders-Cepeda, DO, CMD, is a senior medical director with UnitedHealthcare Retiree Solutions. In this role, Dr. Sanders-Cepeda provides oversight and direction for multiple clinical programs nd initiatives and creates and designs innovative solutions to meet the demands of the retirees she serves. Dr. Sanders-Cepeda serves at a national level and presents clinical results to private and public sector business entities throughout the country. She currently serves on the AMDA Board of Directors and is president of the Florida state chapter.
JAMDA On-The-Go Caring On-The-Go	Karl Steinberg, MD, CMD, HMDC, is chief medical officer for Mariner Health Care and Beecan Health, and medical director for two skilled nursing facilities (Life Care Center of Vista and Carlsbad by the Sea Care Center), Hospice by the Sea, and Scripps Seaport Home Health in the San Diego area. He is the president of AMDA, editor-in-chief emeritus of Caring for the Ages, and an associate editor of JAMDA. Dr. Steinberg has served as a nursing home and hospice medical director, attending physician, and educator in San Diego for over 25 years, has served on AMDA's Board of Directors and multiple committees, and worked on a variety of Clinical Practice Guidelines and other Society publications and products. He is an AMDA delegate to the AMA House of Delegates; is vice president of National POLST; and has a strong interest in bioethics, advance care planning, palliative care, and policy/regulatory issues.
AMDA In-The-States	Carl J. “Christian” Bergman, MD, CMD, is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He attended medical school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA and completed his internal medicine residency and geriatric medicine fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA where he specialized in post-acute and long-term care medicine. His clinical practice focuses on post-acute and long-term care medicine with active medical directorship. He is assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where he is focusing on improving transitions of care throughout the VCU Health System and actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and geriatric fellows. At AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, he is vice-chair of the Transitions of Care subcommittee, a member of the Clinical Steering Committee, chair of the newly formed State Based Public Policy and Advocacy Subcommittee, and a member of the Public Policy Steering Committees.
AMDA On-The-Hill	Alex Bardakh, MPP, PLC, is the Director of Public Policy and Advocacy for AMDA – The Society. Mr. Bardakh works for the Society’s extensive Public Policy agenda through Advocacy in Congress and numerous Federal Agencies. A graduate from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in Political Science/Psychology and Master’s Degree in Public and Legal Policy, Mr. Bardakh has extensive experience in health policy with a specific focus on areas such as payment models and quality of care initiatives. He has been a recognized national speaker on healthcare policy and has spoken at national conferences throughout the country.
