Obituary: Raymond Owen, MD, CMD

Raymond Lee Owen, MD, 61, died Sunday, January 1, 2017, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Dr. Owen was a Family Practitioner for thirty one years. During this time, he was certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He was also a Certified Medical Director since 2003. In 2007, He was nominated for the Medical Director of the Year—AMDA. Raymond was affiliated with the Wichita County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, Texas Medical Foundation, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Directors Association, American Medical Directors Association and Texas Geriatrics Society. Raymond was the medical director of several nursing homes and retirement facilities—University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation, Promise Skilled Nursing Facility, Presbyterian Manor, Crawford House of Hope, Senior Care Health and Rehabilitation. He was also on the National Medical Director’s Advisory Board.
