AMDA Announces Involvement in Two NQF Measure Applications Partnership Workgroups
Columbia, MD — AMDA – Dedicated to Long Term Care Medicine (AMDA) is proud to announce involvement in two National Quality Forum (NQF) Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) Workgroups. MAP provides suggestions and input to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding the selection of performance measures for public reporting and performance-based payment programs. MAP Workgroups include organizational, subject matter expert, and federal government members.
The NQF Board of Directors has invited AMDA to join the MAP Dual Eligible Beneficiaries Workgroup as a voting member. Gwendolen T. Buhr, MD, MEd, CMD, will serve as AMDA’s representative. The workgroup will provide input on issues related to quality of care for Medicare/Medicaid dual eligible beneficiaries. It will also develop a measurement framework specific to quality issues dual eligible beneficiaries face, assess current measures and measurement efforts, and consider potential new measures.
AMDA member and Past President James E. Lett, MD, CMD, has been asked to serve as the representative for the National Transitions of Care Coalition (NTOCC) on the MAP Post-Acute/Long-Term Care (PAC/LTC) Workgroup. Dr. Lett serves on the NTOCC Board, as does AMDA Director of Clinical Affairs and Industry Relations Jacqueline Vance, RNC, BSN, CDONA/LTC, FACDONA. AMDA is also part of NTOCC’s Advisors Council. The PAC/LTC Workgroup will provide input on matters related to the selection and coordination of measures for post-acute and long term care providers, including various facility settings and home health care.
