AMDA resolves to encourage HCFA to support the following objectives under the PPS;

  1. physician visits should be based on medical necessity; and
  2. all physician visits required by federal or state laws or regulations should be considered medically necessary and be covered; and

RESOLVED, that AMDA supports the physician's involvement in the assessment process.
