A18 - THE CONSULTANT PHARMACIST AND CENTERS FOR MEDICARE & MEDICAID SERVICES PROVIDER STATUS

RESOLUTION A18

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the AMDA-the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine supports provision of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provider status for the Consultant Pharmacist to long-term care facilities;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOVED, the AMDA-the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine supports passage of Federal Senate Bill S.109 and House of Representatives Bill H.R. 592;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the AMDA-the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine work with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, American Health Care Association, Leading Age, Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association, and likeminded professional organizations to influence CMS to enact this change.
